With over 30 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, I've developed a deep sense of passion for the industry. Admittedly, it's a love-hate relationship—one that often finds me simultaneously excited by its challenges and exasperated by its complexities. Yet, amidst the chaos, there's an undeniable satisfaction in crafting innovative solutions alongside clients and partners.

Throughout my career, I have prioritised learning about each area of our clients business as I believe that the holistic view allows me to implement more meaningful solutions as well as taking into account of the needs of the various stakeholders.

From procurement and sourcing, where I facilitated connections between local businesses and reputable factories, to navigating the competitive landscape of trading companies, to hands on cargo movement and management in logistics, I have developed a strong commercial focus.

I have represented my company internationally, pulled all-nighters to rectify supplier errors, and successfuly managed the roll-out of new technology. I've coordinated major site projects, supported businesses through mergers, negotiated contracts, and played an industry role through times of crisis.

But amidst the hustle and bustle of business, my true passion lies in people—the driving force behind every success story. Collaboration and partnership are not just buzzwords; they are the cornerstones of progress. Success is a team sport.

Equally important to me is sustainability—a core belief that echoes throughout my professional beliefs. I firmly advocate for integrating sustainable practices into business operations, not just for the obvious ethical reasons but as a strategic imperative for future-proofing industries. We need to be at the forefront of the change we want, and need, to see.

There are so many options out there though that it can be tricky to work out what is going to be the most effective and affordable solution for your business.

Now, what are my weaknesses? Plenty…. But ask my family, and they will tell you—local directions and parking. To my mind, every wrong turn has led to unexpected discoveries, and every extra step has contributed to better health. Admittedly, now that the kids are a lot older they don't seem to buy into this as much as they used to. Is this the most lost we have been? Nah….
