The sea floor is the world’s largest undeveloped resource of critical minerals, The Metals Company have produced astonishing trial results by ‘vacuuming’ nodules off the seafloor without using invasive mining techniques. This technique promises to recover critical minerals with a much lower environmental foot print than for existing Ni, Co, Cu and Mn production.
