Huon HOOGESTEGER (MD)

Huon Hoogesteger is a leading figure in the renewable energy sector, with over 15 years of experience in commercial solar and storage. With a background in commercial construction, he founded Smart Commercial Solar in 2011 and has since forged lasting partnerships with major brands like Bunnings and KFC. Huon was an early pioneer of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) in Australia and co-founded Australia’s first community-led solar investment vehicle, ClearSky. He has facilitated some of Australia's largest solar power systems, including Australia’s largest behind the meter PPA project for CUB. He has been recognised with accolades like the Finder Green Innovation of the Year Award 2022 and the Clean Energy Council design award in 2019.
