
Heidi has 20 years’ experience working in strategic advisory, policy and project leadership with business, government and NGOs, globally.
Most recently, Heidi led Boeing Australia’s sustainable aviation activity including policy advocacy, informing strategy and technical roadmaps. Heidi built Boeing’s sustainability capability in the APAC region through support to six Australian business units as well as developing partnerships that advanced aerospace sustainability globally. In this role Heidi was appointed to the Jet Zero Council and Sustainable Aviation Aotearoa, advisory councils to government in Australia and NZ respectively. She provided industry leadership through her role as chair of both the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Alliance (SAFAANZ) and Aviation / Aerospace Australia GreenSkies Committee, and as a Board Director for Bioenergy Australia. Heidi was recently recognised in The Australian 2023 Top 100 Green Power List.
A graduate of the Royal Military College-Duntroon, Heidi started her career as an intelligence officer in the Australian Army. Heidi left defence in 2005 and has worked on systemic sustainability ever since. Heidi advised and developed strategies with 3M, Unilever, Novo Nordisk, Ports of Auckland, Walgreens Boots Alliance, Quark Expeditions, Marks & Spencer amongst others. She has conducted community-based resource management and policy development in SE Asia, East Africa and with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, and has contributed to national policy in Australia, NZ, Europe and the UK.
Heidi currently lives in Brisbane, on Jagera and Turrbal Country. She holds undergraduate qualifications in geography, environmental sustainability, government and operations management, as well as post-graduate qualifications in international relations. Heidi loves to travel; her favourite trip this year was an expedition around Svalbard, in the Arctic Circle.
